BRUTUS & OZZY
North Monmouth
Brutus: Dec. 2000
Ozzy: Aug. 2002
Club members hope Brutus (left) and Ozzy will continue coming to meetings, not only because they're wonderful boys, but also so we can learn to tell them apart! They're not twins; but to us they were almost identical bundles of fun (thank goodness for differently colored harnesses!). We especially enjoyed their peeing contest on the tree. |

OLD TOWN
|
MAGGIE, TESS, GRACIE, PENNY, ANNIE, and LIBBY
Old Town
Look at these beautiful ladies! Gracie was rescued in horrible condition from a puppy mill in Oklahoma by Homeward Bound Pug Rescue. She was "basically a walking skeleton covered with mange, living in an outdoor cage in the snow." Libby was rescued from a puppy mill in Missouri. Penny was the first addition to the family as a puppy, giving mom and dad the "pug bug" and directing their attention toward rescuing pugs in need. Annie, also from Homeward Bound, had to be treated for long-neglected bladder stones. Seniors Maggie and Tess joined the family in February 2008. Now these wonderful girls are all spoiled and go without nothing! There truly is hope for the world, with kind owners such as mom Amy around! Give those girls kisses from all of us. See the girls up close.

CHLOEY (above left)
April 5, 2003
Chloey arrived on a plane from Arkansas. She's a mellow girl with that sad-eye look of a pug. She has had two litters so far. Chloey loves to have her belly scratched, and enjoys the mile-long ride to camp in the snowmobile.
ZOE (middle)
Sept. 9, 2001
Zoe is the boss of all the dogs in her family, including sister Daisy! She comes from Stetson, Maine. She loves going to Gram's house, and riding the snowmobile to camp.
SUNSHINE BEAR (Sunny, right)
March 17, 2006
Sunny is a little charmer. Originally from Wilton, Maine out of the Ash Cove line, she's a very petite Pug with a lot of sass.

 |
Abby
Peru
April 24, 2004
Abby is the pride and joy of her family. She lives with two cats, Jack and Chubby. Abby loves to go for any kind ride, even if it's on the lawn mower. She enjoys eating treats and playing with all of her toys. She is an explorer in the summer and a wonderful swimmer. Is that a great photo, or what?

SADIE SUE (left) and SAMMY
Princeton
Sadie Sue: November 2004
Sammy: October 2006
For most of our Pugs, doing what they love best is sleeping or eating - but not Sadie Sue, an athletic young lady who loves to swim. She was joined by playful new brother Sammy in December 2006. Sadie Sue was none too pleased to share the spotlight at first, but obviously has come around. Are they adorable, or what?!

SADIAH (SADIE) & YANKEE
Richmond
Sadie: April 30, 2000
Yankee: Sept. 21, 1998
These pugs are "absolutely the best", according to Mom, "even if every pug owner says the same! It's too bad people can't all be as wonderful as our little dogs." Smart, handsome Yankee was joined by Sadie in September 2007, when she was adopted from PRoNE. Sadie really loves attention, and is a wonderful fit for the family. Look at these cuties!

PUJO & MOCHA
Sanford
Pujo: February, 2004
Mocha: July, 2004
Pujo and Mocha came from two "oops" litters at Ash Cove Pugs. They shared a Pug dad; Pujo's mom was a Lhasa Apso, and Mocha's was a Shih Tzu. Mom and Dad feel lucky to have them. They give an entirely new meaning to the word "oops" - and to Mom and Dad's lives. Could you get any cuter? |

SOUTH CHINA

|
ROSCO
South China
February 2005
Amazing - suddenly all our pugs swim! Rosco loves to swim in his 18 ft. pug pool (and even allows his family to join him sometimes). This handsome young man is shy around other dogs, but hopefully his buddies Taz and Spike Lee and other Pugusta Club members can coax him out of his shell. |
|
|
PRISSY
South China
August 2004
Princess Priscilla celebrated her third birthday by going to PETCO and visiting anyone and everyone who would give her attention, in keeping with her natural rights as a pug (although Mom politely declined an offer of immediate adoption). Prissy is one of the most sociable pets the family has ever had, although she is a bit bossy and loves to be the center of attention (imagine that!). She is pictured at left with her springer spaniel brother Romeo.

Gus is the much adored pug of the Dick and Laura Berthiaume. He came all the way from Kentucky from a lovely woman by the name of Jennifer Shearer. His puppy pictures can also be found on the Kentuckiana Pug Rescue posters. He shares his home with his huge cat Mufusa, a big lab mix Ripley, and his partner in crime, a little Morky-Lina.

BAXTER
Vassalboro
Dec. 4, 2006
Baxter is a very playful, energetic (read: exhausting) puppy. He lives with his sister Puddles (a corgi-black lab mix) and his 3 feline siblings, Coconut, Curry and Kitty. He has brought tons of fun to his house since he was adopted in February 2007. Of course, he thinks his name is "Baxter, drop that!" and "Baxter, stop chewing on the cat!" But he is certainly keeping his family on its toes! |
| WATERVILLE |
JAKE (left) & BAILEY
Waterville
Jake: Dec. 31, 2005
Bailey: June 20 2007
Jake is one of The Pugusta Club's founding members - and definitely one of its liveliest! This playful boy loves to snuggle and give kisses, and knows several tricks such as sit, stand, lay, and five. He loves to chase kitties and always wants to play. He certainly gives the other Pugs a run for their money at Club meetings! Sweet little sister Bailey, black with three white paws, joined the family in August 2007.

Q
Waterville
April 29, 2006
Q is a beloved part of his family! Look at that face...For those of you who recognized the Star Trek reference in her name, Mom says that it is entirely appropriate - she believes herself to be the omnipotent and the center of the universe! |

| WILTON |
|
|
Puggles and bugs!
Meet Capone (left), whose white fingertips give him a "fingerprinted" look that earned him a moniker after the famous mobster. This black puggle (pug/beagle) brought life to his owner's empty new home. Capone was later joined by Bella (center), a bug (Boston terrier/pug) whose status as runt of the litter has never stopped her from holding her ground.
Capone and Bella were joined in June 2007 by baby sister Layla, the first pure-bred pug in the family. Now Mom and Dad can determine which parts of Capone and Bella's personalities stem from their pug heritage! Although she's the smallest, Layla won't be pushed around by her larger siblings. Look at that little face!
All these cuties live with feline brother Luigi and whatever foster cats Mom has at home at the moment, in support of the animal shelter.

SORELLA & MAGGIE
Winthrop
Sorella: Nov. 9, 2006
Maggie: March 4, 2003
Maggie (Waggy) and Sorella (Mozzarella) are the beloved Pugs of Webmasters Brian and Laura, and the spokespugs for the Pugusta Club. Maggie joined the family in July 2006, and it feels like she's always been there! Sweet, gentle, and loving, her favorite thing is to sit with her people (especially if it involves a car ride!). She's also a little devil, especially when she decides to take off down the street and visit the Dachsunds.
To keep Maggie company, Sorella (Italian for "sister"), from Evie's Chloe and Rascal, joined the family in January 2007. The girls took right to each other. Bookends!
