GLINDA, SAMPSON, & PUGZLIE
Chelsea
Pugzlie (below left): October 2000
Pugzlie, aka Puggie, is a giant 32-pound snuggle pug. He loves to cuddle, and according to mom he can also count to four (hmmm... didn't see this at the last meeting!): one bark for one, two barks for two, etc. Puggie's favorite word is "treat."
Glinda (below center): March 2001
Shy, sweet Glinda always comes to meetings in her Sunday best! She loves swimming and tummy rubs. Glinda may have some relatives in Pugusta because she also comes from Ash Cove lines.
Sampson (below right): Jan. 2002
Handsome Sampson is the athletic pug in the family. His favorite activity is running in his field, after which the Pug in him comes out and he goes to sleep under the covers. At bedtime he sleeps with even his head under the covers!
In June 2007, Sampson climbed Mt. Tumbledown! Here's Sampson during the climb....and after the climb.

FRANK
Danville
September, 2004
Frank lives with 4 rotties and a "mutt", and despite being "outnumbered and outweighed", he's still the boss of them all! Mom Stephanie rescued Frank when she found him locked in a cage in a cellar for six months; now the two of them do Canine Rescue (see video), and Frank has rewarded mom with his intelligence, sweetness, affection, and (of course) stubbornness - all the qualities mom loves! He looks forward to meeting other pugs so he will have someone his own size to play with.

Roofus (near right) is a boisterous "Puggle" who is "adorable and he knows it," according to owner Ken. Roofus lives with five roommates, four canine and one feline - his "best buds." He loves to wrestle, and carries his favorite blanket with him whever he goes. Murray (far right) joined the family in February 2008 when his owner couldn't keep him. After a brief sorting out of who was boss among the canines, Murray settled in nicely.

SIR GRUMPALOT (GRUMPY) and THE ZACKMAN
Fayette
Feb. 21, 2004 (Grumpy)
2000 (Zachman)
For some reason, Grumpy enjoys suckling on the faces of stuffed animals, as if they were baby pacifiers! He has been a wonderful addition to his family; their home hasn't been the same since. Mom admits to spoiling him too much! Grumpy loves playing with his siblings, three other dogs and three cats, and had a wonderful time socializing and chasing the other pugs around at his first Club meeting. In 2005 he won second place at the Petco pet costume contest, riding a battery-operated motorcycle as The Terminator.

|
|
Zackman joined the family originally as a foster pug in spring 2007. He was nothing but skin and bones, but has filled out nicely. He is visually and hearing impaired but that doesn't stop him from enjoying family walks, swimming, car rides and of course the weekly pug gatherings. He is just a very HAPPY good-natured pug! |
SAKURA & KILALA
Fayette
Pretty Sakura resides with five cats who teach her good manners. She loves stuffed animals and running free. Sakura has many friends in the area she loves to play around with, and travels to her mom's workplace frequently to bring home the bucks. Her goofy faces and funny antics bring her owners great happiness everyday. Sakura absolutely hates the rain - she's our fair-weather gal!
|
 |
| Kilala joined the family in August 2007. People say that black pugs are a handful and her family believes it! She loves eating anything and plays outside no matter the weather. She loves stuffed animals and greeting us with new ones everytime we walk through the door. Kilala loves playing with all other dogs especially big dogs; she's a big dog at heart |

FRANK
Hampden
April 17, 2006
We are not quite sure if Frank wanted to come out fawn or black. He has a black face and head, a black chest and black highlights down his back. His long legs seem built for racing as he chases his two cats all over the house. Frank has been in the Hampden's Children's Day Parade as the unofficial Police K-9 Unit. We call him our Drug Pug! He was dressed as Frank from Men In Black at our Halloween open house. |
| JAY |

|
CYRUS
Jay
September 2007
Meet Cyrus! He may be just a little guy, but he can hold his own against his big brother Banjo. If he isn't playing with Banjo, he's either chasing the cat or sleeping on the couch. His newest trick is that he learned to go up the stairs, but is still a little nervous about coming down. Cyrus is very social and definitely has that pug puppy energy. |

SHADOW (left) & THUNDER
Litchfield
Shadow: March 20, 2004
Thunder: March 10, 2005
Shadow usually does the snowmobile thing in the winter; this is his "summer" picture. Shadow is known to sing, "I want it" when Mom have a squeeky toy! Thunder is the family's little guard dog. He barks at everything and anything. Sounds vicious, but he is really very lovable. He sings and howls and even purrs! He has no fear, except snow, which he HATES.

ROSCO P.

February 2007
Rosco is the first pug member of the family. He enjoys walks with dad and waking up family members in the morning. He is also quite the prankster, hiding shoes and other belongings from family members. (But with a face like that, who cares, really?) |

Scrappy is a very special part of the family - everyone fights over who’s going to sleep with him at night! Like most pugs, he is spoiled rotten, and runs the household. He also keeps both cats in line. |

VALLEY GIRL'S PUGGY
Monmouth
Dec. 26, 2005
This Christmas baby is the proud owner of 4 humans, with whom she loves to go for car rides. She hates going potty outside in the winter! Do they all do this? (yes!) Puggy's favorite sleeping buddy is Mom Valerie, favorite chew toys are Barbie dolls, and her favorite snack is horse manure (not sure we want to know). Puggy loves playing with her Jack Russell sister, lounging, sleeping, lounging, being cuddled and carressed and pampered, lounging, and walks in the woods. Puggy specializes in not coming when called, making food disappear when it drops on the floor, and swallowing without tasting the food.
